Mid-Band 5G
What is mid-band 5G?
One of the 3 bands of 5G, mid-band 5G refers to the 1-6 GHz spectrum. Together with the <1 GHz low band, it is part of the “sub-6Ghz” band, which is where 4G also operates. Mid-band 5G is substantially faster than 4G – typically 300 Mbps+ and with potential for up to 5 Gbps. Mid band is considered the “sweet spot” (of speed, range and less interference) for broad coverage in metropolitan areas.
