Deepfakes
What are deepfakes?
Deepfakes are AI-generated fake video, audio, and still images that seem real. They are typically created using machine-learning networks that leverage real examples of video, audio, or still images as inputs. While much of the attention has been placed on celebrities, political elections, and foreign relations, businesses are also susceptible to deepfake attacks – for instance, impersonation of executives for fraudulent wire transfers or phishing for IT systems access.
