What is artificial intelligence?

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability for computer systems to perform tasks traditionally associated with humans, such as learning from inputs, recognizing speech, and classifying images. Sub-fields of AI include machine learning, computer vision, natural-language processing, natural-language generation, and robotics.
