Alt-Meat
What is alt-meat?
Alt-meat is a plant-based or lab-grown food product made to look and taste like meat, without using traditional animal meat. While the successful early alt-meat players focused on plant-based beef, there is a growing range of approaches – from cell-cultured meat that can be virtually identical to animal products in taste and texture to alternative chicken, pork and seafood.
